This machine is a multi-function calender with vertically arranged two rollers and air-cooling device. It is used for calendering finishing the fabrics of cotton, man-made fibres, linen and wool as well as construction materials and plastic packing goods. This calender can also be used for smoothing, luster or embossing finishing if it is equipped with some special components.

3.    Structural Features

The machine consists of cloth-feeding holder, folder, wallboard frame, calender roller part, main drive part, hydraulic system and electric control part etc.

1. Cloth-feeding holder and folder parts: mainly consist of channel steel, cloth guiding roller, edge guider, tension bracket, cropping roller and cloth wiggler, etc. If users need, such device as seam detector and metal detecting instrument, etc can be added.

2. Wallboard frame part: mainly consist of left-right wallboard and cold air system, etc, the material of wallboard is A3 steel plate and thickness is 100mm.

3. Calender roller part: this part is the main key part of the machine with complicated structure, and it is difficult to manufacture.

a. The upper calender roller is mirror face electric heating roller, the internal is hollow electric heating structure, there are two groups 2 kW electrical bar, total 18 pieces, the first group, 12 pieces 24 kW, the second group 6 pieces 12kW, the temperature of calender roller surface can be set and controlled and the temperature controller only controls the first group. roller chrome-faced accurate grinding reaches mirror finish (roughness Ra ≤0.2µm).

b. The lower calender roller is elasticity adjustable pressure roller, the outer sleeve is made by modified nylon, the internal central spindle is fixed and not rotating, which consists of several small cylinders, the jacking pressure exerted on two sides of central spindle forms calendering technology through such several small cylinders then pressurize to upper calender roller, the specific structure is as the following schematic drawing:(nipco style)
